Galaxy S23 Ultra is a far cry from iPhone 14 in terms of performance

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, the latest top of the range from the South Korean company, seems to have to get used to having Apple's iPhone 14 Pro (and not only) breathing down its neck.

Benchmarks, even today, represent a first-rate discriminant to evaluate the performance of new smartphones on the market.

Looking at the Geekbench 5 data we can see some interesting aspects:

The single-core results show the dominance of the most recent iPhones presented to the public. The Apple iPhone 14 Pro leads with 1874 points, slightly above the 14 Pro Max. To locate the first Samsung smartphone we have to scroll further down and we immediately find the Galaxy S23+ with 1500 points, more than the 1480 of the S23 Ultra. It makes you smile that they are even "inferior" to the iPhone 13 mini, thanks to their 1699 points.

Unusual situation also in multi-core context. The iPhone 14 Pro confirms itself in first place with 5384, while the Samsung Galaxy S23+ reaches third place with 4783 points and far surpasses the same Galaxy S23 Ultra that stops at 4584 points.
