SAMSUNG

Top 3 reasons why you definitely shouldn't buy the Galaxy S23 flagship series

As part of the Galaxy S23 series, three models have arrived and each of them has its pros and cons. The basic design is characterized by compact dimensions, the medium model Galaxy S23+ is aimed at lovers of classics, and the top-of-the-line Ultra design is aimed at the most demanding of the demanding. After the reasons to buy them, we bring you three reasons why the Galaxy S23 range mobile phones jump this year.

1-Significant increase in price...Samsung has made its flagship phones quite expensive this year and you will pay significantly more for them than you did last year. Yes, virtually all manufacturers have gone up in price, but the question is whether all the innovations, which this year, let's face it, are not so many, are worth it. For example, the entry-level Galaxy S23 with 8 + 128 GB of memory is 1,500 kroner(norwegian currency) more expensive than last year's model with the same memory.

If we compare the 256 GB version of the mid-range model S23+, this year you will pay exactly 2,000 kroner more, and the price increase also applies to the top Ultra model. The version with 256GB of storage is just 500Kroner more expensive, but you'll pay an extra 2,500Kroner for the variant with 512GB of memory. The bad news is also that Samsung for the S23+ and S23 Ultra has blown the 128GB versions, so the reasonably priced base just isn't happening for this pair this year.

2-Charging still terrible... Soon we will have a Realme GT Neo 5 phone, which will offer charging with a power of 240 W. And it will not even be a purely flagship device, but a device placed in a lower category. Next to it, the 45W charging of the top models S23+ and S23 Ultra looks like a bad joke. In fact, it's a Samsung also hasn't changed to any more fundamental innovation in this area this year.

Loading compared to last year's Galaxy S22 series it hasn't moved anywhere, and you still get a wattage of 45W for the S23+ / S23 Ultra pair and a measly 25W for the base version of the S23. Nowadays, this is completely insufficient, and even phones in the price category of around 6,000 kronor already offer more powerful charging. That just didn't work and it's a clear call for Samsung to do something about it within a year.

3-Compared to last year, there are generally few innovations... This year, nobody expected a revolution or a lot of innovative elements in the new Galaxy S23 series, but really there are very few new and innovations. For the Galaxy S23 and S23+ pair, we can mainly count on the use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a 200mAh larger battery and the new durable Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which all three innovations received, as significant improvements.

The screens have remained largely unchanged, the cameras, although they certainly take better quality pictures (a better zoom would be helpful), and overall there are fewer changes. As part of the top model S23 Ultra, the biggest innovation can be counted as a camera with a resolution of 200 Mpx, the possibility to treat yourself to 1 TB of memory and a number of partial improvements, but that's all. Hopefully Samsung will improve a bit next year and deliver more innovations. For example, satellite communication, which did not arrive this year.
