SAMSUNG

Para smartphones Samsung Galaxy S23, as atualizações serão lançadas até 2028

Galaxy S23 will have patch support until 2028

The new lineup of Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones will initially come with Android 13 and the latest One UI 5.1 skin. At the same time, the manufacturer intends to support the devices with updates for many years to come.

Samsung will roll out four full OC updates, meaning Galaxy S23 owners will be able to upgrade to Android 17 (or whatever it will be called) when that operating system launches. As it turns out, 2026 will be the last year the Galaxy S23 lineup gets a major OC update.

But support for smartphones does not end there - the manufacturer will still release security patches. It is possible that devices will be supported until 2028, although the frequency of patch releases will gradually decrease.

Not all Android device manufacturers offer long-term support for their devices like Samsung does.

For example, Google, Xiaomi and Realme only release three major OC updates for their smartphones. Meanwhile, Sony, ASUS, Tcl and HONOR only offer two years, while ZTE only offers one year.
