OnePlus recently unveiled the OnePlus Ace 2 smartphone in China, and now it is preparing to launch another model in the Ace series. The OnePlus Ace 2 smartphone will soon receive a modification based on the MediaTek Dimensity processor instead of the Qualcomm chipset.
The OnePlus Ace 2 will be the first smartphone in the Ace lineup equipped with the Dimensity 9000 processor. The chipset, announced last year, is MediaTek's flagship solution, manufactured by TSMC using a 4-nanometer process.
According to the source, the OnePlus Ace 2 Dimensity Edition will have a 1.5K flat screen, while the base model is equipped with a screen with curved edges. It is also expected to be slightly cheaper than the current model, which is priced at $412 by the manufacturer.
With the exception of the processor and the screen, everything else will remain the same as the standard model.
Recalling, the OnePlus Ace 2 features a 6.74-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2772 × 1240 pixels, a maximum brightness of 1450 nits and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
The smartphone's rear camera features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main sensor with optical image stabilization. It is combined with an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens and a 2 megapixel macro camera. The front of the phone has a 16-megapixel camera for taking selfies and video calls.
The smartphone runs Android 13 with the proprietary ColorOS 13 interface and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC charging support.
