iPhone 11 is the most popular on the Russian market

Analysts at the MTS Big Data Center have been collecting data on phones and smartphones registered on the network since 2008.

In the late 2000s, Nokia devices were most in demand among Russians. The most popular models were the business class 6300 and the streamlined 1100.

At that time, Samsung was the brand's only rival. In 2010 and 2011, the top 20 was led by the budget model E1080. However, in total value, the Finnish company maintained the lead.

After 2018, Nokia smartphones completely disappeared from the ranking, and Samsung began to maintain its leading position.

In 2011, Apple entered the ranking of popular smartphones for the first time with its iPhone 4. Since 2013, gadgets from Cupertino are always in first place. In the sum of all models, Apple surpassed Samsung for the first time in 2016.

According to data for 2022, the iPhone of different models occupied 7 positions in the TOP-20. The remaining spots were distributed between Honor, Xiaomi and Samsung. At the same time, the iPhone 11 took first place in popularity among Russians.
