Specialists from the German workshop KrisFix-Germany shared rather alarming news about the mass failure of Radeon RX 6000 series graphics adapters.
Over the past three weeks, over 60 AMD graphics cards have been submitted to the service, most with similar issues.
When disassembling the adapters, you can see absolutely clean printed circuit boards, without burns and traces of mechanical impact. However, the diagnostics shows a short circuit in all the main components of the video cards, including the graphics chip, VRAM, GPU PWM controller and video memory power controller. At the moment, masters have accumulated 48 accelerators with a similar defect.
At the same time, the glitch occurred during gaming sessions and when watching YouTube or even when the PC was idle. However, all cases of failure of adapters are united by the fact that their owners use the latest version of the Radeon Adrenalin graphics driver numbered 22.11.
Well-known overclocker Buildzoid claims that driver makers have already made similar mistakes by disabling overheating protection in new software revisions. Experts have yet to find out the real cause of the problem, and for now, they advise avoiding using the latest AMD driver version.
