Xiaomi has introduced the first external solid state drive in its range

The novelty with a capacity of 1TB will begin to be sold on the brand's website Xiaomi Mall from December 14th.

According to official data, Mi Mobile SSD 1TB will support sequential read/write speeds above 2000MB/s. It is reported that at the indicated speeds it will be possible to download a movie in 4K resolution to the media literally in a minute.

The novelty is made in an aluminum alloy case with sandblasting and anodized coating - the manufacturer tried to make the case pleasant both externally and to the touch. Also, it had to be very reliable.

Initially, the novelty will be sold as part of a crowdfunding campaign priced at 649 yuan (about US$93) and, after the start of retail sales, the manufacturer's recommended price will be set at 799 yuan (about US$ 115).

The model is known to be compatible with all types of devices, including electronics with operating systems Windows 7 and later, macOS X 10.6 and later, Android 9 and later, as well as Ubuntu versions 16, 18 and 20.
