SAMSUNG

Unpublished Galaxy S23 line may have the new version of One UI 5 based on Android 13

In a few weeks, Samsung will introduce the long-awaited Galaxy S23 series. The next generation flagship lineup is said to feature a slightly updated design, Qualcomm's latest flagship processor, updated cameras, display brighter and bigger batteries.

In addition to hardware updates, Samsung is likely to introduce some software improvements with the Galaxy S23 lineup. While the company hasn't officially shared any details, a recent leak suggests that smartphones could launch with a new version of One UI 5 based on Android 13.

Samsung has reportedly started testing the updated firmware (version S908EXXU2CVL7) on the Galaxy S22 Ultra and based on past trends, we expect it to launch with the Galaxy S23 series. While we don't have full information on what's new in One UI 5.1, Samsung has previously revealed that the update will introduce more lock screen customizations.

Back in October Samsung shared a press release that highlighted some of the most notable changes in One UI 5 based on Android 13. In fact, the update will include new lock screen customization options, allowing users to change the lock screen background and style of the clock and pop-up notification.
