On October 27th, the Redmi Note 12 series smartphones were presented in China, with an international presentation expected in the near future. But the promotional teaser only says that it will happen soon, but does not specify the date of the event.
Meanwhile, one of the sources said that the premiere will take place in India on December 23rd. Most likely, smartphones from the lineup will first go to the Indian market, and then to other regions. Three models will enter the international market: Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+, which will be slightly different from their Chinese counterparts.
The base version will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chip. The two older versions will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 single-chip system.
More details... In design, the Redmi Note 12 line is very similar to the Redmi Note 11T family devices, launched in May this year. The main difference is that the launch's rectangular camera module has the LED flash unit positioned laterally.
The quartet of cell phones has a 6.67-inch OLED screen with FullHD + resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 120 Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch sampling, peak brightness of 900 nits, in addition to support for Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HDR10+.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro Plus and Note 12 Explorer Edition feature MediaTek's Dimensity 1080 chipset with a choice of 8GB, 12GB or 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. UFS 2.2, plus microSD card support.
