IdeaPad Pro 5i series is updated

Lenovo has updated the IdeaPad Pro notebook series introducing the IdeaPad Pro 5i 14 and IdeaPad Pro 5i 16 models. The new products will be powered by Intel Raptor Lake-H mobile processors and discrete graphics cards up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 model.

These components have yet to be officially unveiled - they will debut during the CES 2023 expo early next month.

IdeaPad Pro 5i series laptops will feature enlarged touchpads, depth-sensing webcams, support for FHD resolution and IR lighting, as well as high-resolution displays with up to 120 Hz refresh rate.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i 14 model will offer a choice of two displays: a 14-inch IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 2880 × 1800 pixel resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 400 cd/m2 brightness, or a 14-inch IPS panel with 16:10 aspect ratio, 2240 × 1400 pixels resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate and 300 cd/m2 brightness. Both monitors have 100% coverage of the sRGB color space.

The IdeaPad Pro 5i 16 model, in turn, is equipped with a 16-inch IPS screen with an aspect ratio of 16:10, resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels, refresh rate of 120 Hz, brightness of 350 cd/m2 and 100% coverage of the sRGB color space.

Both new products will be able to offer Core i5-13500h and Core i7-13700h processors. the official characteristics of these chips will be known at the beginning of next month. The IdeaPad Pro 5i 14 model will be equipped with a GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card with 6 GB of memory. The older model IdeaPad Pro 5i 16, in addition to the same graphics card, will offer configurations with GeForce RTX 4050, which NVIDIA will present in January.

Both laptops will be equipped with 16 or 32GB of lpddr5 RAM and may offer a 512GB or 1TB PCIe SSD. The new equipment will also include a Thunderbolt 4 (Type-c), USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C (PD+DP) and HDMI 2.1. In addition, they will receive two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, support for Wi-Fi 6/6e and Bluetooth 5.1, two speakers with a power of 2 W each and a 75 Wh battery. In the 14-inch model, the battery will provide up to 20.5 hours of battery life, in the 16-inch model - up to 13 hours.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i 14 and IdeaPad Pro 5i 16 laptop models will be available in "Arctic Gray" and "Ice Blue" colors. The start of sales of new products is scheduled for April. Pricing for the laptops will start at €1,199.
