BOE apresenta a primeira tela de laptop de 600 Hz do mundo

Chinese panel maker announces world's first 600Hz laptop display

At the 2022 World Display Industry Conference, Chinese display manufacturer BOE stunned attendees with the world's first 600Hz laptop display.

The panel's full features are unknown: the manufacturer didn't even mention the screen resolution. It was only noted that the screen has a 16:10 aspect ratio and was used on a certain laptop equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics subsystem.

So far, none of the laptop manufacturers have in their model range equipped with screens with a refresh rate of 500 Hz or higher. Dell has come as close as it gets to that formal barrier with its Alienware x17 R2 gaming laptop models. Some of them are equipped with 17-inch screens with 1080p resolution and 480 Hz refresh rate.

Mini-LED backlight products were among other new products presented by BOE at the World Display Industry Conference 2022. For example, the manufacturer showed a 34-inch ultra-wide screen with WQHD resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, high contrast ratio of 100,000:1 and HDR1000 certified. Next to it was an 86-inch 4K display with a high brightness of 1500 cd/m2.

Nothing is known about the launch date of the new BOE products, as the expo showcased concepts that may not go into mass production anytime soon.
