A transmissão ao vivo chegará ao YouTube

YouTube will feature joint live streams

YouTube platform vloggers will soon be able to live stream, Google said in a statement. In the initial phase, the function will be available to a small number of authors and will only work on the phone, but not on the desktop web version of the service. Later, the scope of the function will be expanded.

With joint live streams, one of the authors becomes the host and the others act as guests. The broadcast launch mechanism does not change: the broadcast can start immediately or be scheduled in advance so that the audience is ready. Joint broadcasts are initiated using the “Go Live Together” option, which will appear in the app soon.

Before starting, the host does all the usual settings: specifies the title and description, sets the monetization, thumbnail and visibility for viewers. You can specify multiple guests, but only one can appear on the board with it: the screen is divided into two parts - the host is displayed at the top and the guests are shown below. After confirming the broadcast invitation, the invitee enters the waiting room and, when ready, is displayed on the screen by the presenter.

Co-streams can display YouTube ads, but only the host receives revenue from the monetization engines. And only on the presenter's channel the broadcast itself is shown, although the service administration recognizes the importance of views on guest channels, so that in the future guests can also show their presentations to subscribers on other channels.

There are already shared streams on TikTok and Twitch and on these platforms more than two people are allowed on the board. Considering that YouTube has just introduced this feature, it is possible that the limit will be extended later.
