Call of Duty: Warzone is App Store in pre-order mode

Rumors that Activision plans to port the popular Call of Duty: Warzone to iOS devices surfaced online in September 2020, a few months after the console edition was released. In March of this year, they were finally officially confirmed. Now the title has appeared on the App Store in pre-order mode.

The original version of Call of Duty: Warzone is an online Battle Royale shooter that allows up to 150 players to face off on a map at the same time. Although in many ways it resembles other popular games of this type, such as PUBG or Fortnite, it also has several characteristics that make it stand out from the competition. The most interesting of these is the mechanism that gives eliminated players the chance to re-enter the game if they manage to defeat another loser in a one-on-one duel. According to Activision's announcement, the mobile version of Warzone is keeping all the most important elements of the original console, but reducing the number of players to 120 and introducing some simplifications. The developers also confirmed that on launch day, Warzone Mobile will offer the well-known Verdansk map from the original Warzone, and in the future, the Al Mazrah map from Warzone 2.0 will also be added to it.

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile was released on the App Store in pre-order with a release date set for May 15, 2023. However, it is worth remembering that as this date has not yet been officially confirmed by Activision, it is very likely that it will change it. The game's developers have already announced that players who take advantage of the pre-order option on the App Store (or pre-register on Google Play) will receive additional prizes on the day of the game's launch. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will be a freemium game, available for free download but offering optional microtransactions.
