Android TV13 executable on Raspberry Pi

The Raspberry Pi is a super affordable product that can handle a lot of different use cases and is now also one of the first devices users can install Android TV 13 on, although it's not particularly easy to do.

As is being highlighted by the folks at XDA, programmer KonstaT has compiled a version of Android TV 13 for the Raspberry Pi. This ported version of Android TV is built using LineageOS and the latest beta version of Android TV 13, as Google has not yet released a final version of it.

Still, this port has the security patch for the month of November 2022, which not even Google's own Chromecast has. Incidentally, the Google device only very recently received the update to Android 12.

While this port of Android TV 13 for the Raspberry Pi lacks some key features like hardware-accelerated video playback and Cast, it works with Gapps bundles, which means it can put the Play Store, YouTube, and other important services at your fingertips. operation.

This port can be installed on either the Raspberry Pi 4 or the Pi 400 – the latter being a "traditional" Pi inserted into a keyboard. Compute Module 4 is also supported. You'll want at least 2GB of RAM to keep things running smoothly.
