South Korean giant accelerates release of its new One UI 5 firmware

On August 15, Google announced the final release of the Android 13 operating system. In October, South Korean vendor Samsung released the proprietary One UI 5.0 firmware based on Android 13. As stated in the official press release of the South Korean IT giant, the company has managed to significantly reduce the gap between the release of a stable version of Android 13 and the beginning of the transition of branded handsets to the new firmware. In October, Android 13 received the current flagships of the Galaxy S22 series. In early November, the new firmware file became available for the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy Note20 lines, as well as the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Fold4 foldable smartphones. Galaxy A73, A53 and A33 smartphones, Galaxy Tab S8 tablets and some other gadgets have been updated recently.

According to Samsung, the company will continue to work with Google and actively seek user feedback to better prepare for the release of Android 14.
