Chinese IT giant Huawei has launched Vision Glass smart glasses that can be used as an additional screen for a smartphone or personal computer. The product was announced during the 2022 World VR Industry exhibition dedicated to virtual reality technologies.
By design, the gadget resembles ordinary glasses rather than an augmented or virtual reality headset. The device is equipped with two MicroOLED displays with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a brightness of 480 nits. The manufacturer claims 90% coverage of the DCI-P color space. Furthermore, Huawei's smart glasses are eye-safe as certified by TUV Rheinland.
The model is not a standalone device, as it does not have its own chip and memory. That is, the glasses simply display an image received from a smartphone, computer or tablet.
The glasses are now available for pre-order, although pricing has yet to be announced. And in the open sale the novelty will appear in December.
