QC Earbuds II gets AptX support
A firmware update will arrive in April 2023, with which the latest Bose headphones will receive aptX HD and aptX Adaptive support.
Bose's newest QuietComfort headphones, the QC Earbuds II, will be available next year. As per the company promise, a firmware update for the headphones will arrive via the Bose app by April 2023, after installation, the headphones will be able to communicate with compatible phones using Qualcomm chips via aptX HD or codecs. aptX Adaptive. The update is being prepared in cooperation between Bose and Qualcomm, and the cooperation of the two companies is expected to expand with products in the next year.
According to Bose's announcement, they are committed to using the S5 Audio SoC developed by Qualcomm in the future, and with that comes support for aptX Lossless codecs. QC Earbuds II does not yet support aptX Lossless due to hardware limitations, but compared to AAC and SBC codecs, aptX Adaptive is also a huge improvement for those using Android phones with Bose headphones.
