GIGABYTE

Gigabyte has announced the Aorus Gen4 5000E series NVMe SSDs. The new items offer a volume of 500GB and 1TB. Both models use a controller with NVMe 1.4 specification and support for the PCIe 4.0 standard.
Aorus Gen4 5000E uses 3D TLC NAND Flash at up to 1600 MT/s per pin. The company claims sequential read speeds of up to 5,000 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 4,600 MB/s for new products. Performance on random reads and writes is not specified.

One of the main benefits of Aorus Gen4 5000E units is reduced by 30% compared to previous generation versions, power consumption is only 4.2-4.3 watts. According to Gigabyte, the new ones don't need additional heatsinks for cooling and are able to run without overheating and throttling even in heavily loaded usage scenarios and are therefore suitable for laptops.
The company also claims a rewrite capability of 300TB for the latest version and 600TB for the older version. The novelties have a five-year manufacturer's warranty, if the indicated resource is not exhausted beforehand.
