Acer has released the Predator BiFrost Intel Arc A770 OC graphics card. As previously reported, the graphics accelerator is equipped with a very unusual cooling system with different types of fans.
The novelty cooling system includes two fans. One of them the company calls AeroBlade 3D and it is a tangential fan, popularly known as a "turbine". The second, FrostBlade 2.0, is a more traditional 92mm axial fan. What are the advantages of this combination is not specified.
The manufacturer claims that the graphics processor of the Predator BiFrost Arc A770 graphics card is factory overclocked and operates in the range of 2200 to 2400 MHz. The card is equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 video memory with an effective frequency of 17.5 GHz (17.5 Gb/s). The manufacturer also indicates two indicators of throttle power consumption. In normal mode, the board can consume up to 250 watts of power, that is, 25 watts more than indicated for the reference version. In overclocking mode (“OC Mode”), consumption of up to 280 watts is declared. The Predator BiFrost Arc A770 accelerator receives additional power via two 8-pin connectors.
The dimensions of the Predator BiFrost Arc A770 are 267 × 117.75 mm and it occupies two expansion slots in height. The video card is equipped with three DisplayPort 2.0 connectors and one HDMI 2.1 connector.
The novelty went on sale in Taiwan, where, depending on the retailer, it is estimated at around $372 to $404.
