According to recent data, Qualcomm will launch its flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC in November this year, and the first batch of smartphones based on this platform will be released in late November. These smartphones will be the Xiaomi 13.
According to the well-known Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 13 will be equipped with an ultra-thin 6.36-inch flat screen, while the resolution will be 1.5K - a first for Xiaomi's flagships.
The Redmi K50 Extreme Edition released last month features a 1.5K display provided by Chinese manufacturer Tianma. With a resolution of 2712 x 1220 and a density of 446 pixels per inch, it is comparable to the screen of the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Officials say that when viewed from a distance of 20cm, this screen is as good as a 2K screen, but the power consumption is about the same as a normal 1080p screen.
Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group China and General Manager of Redmi Brand, believes that 1.5K will become the new industry mainstream, offering the advantages of high image quality and low power consumption.
Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately announce the specs and release dates of the Redmi K50 and Xiaomi 12.
