Capture One para iPad recebe tethering de câmera com e sem fio

Capture One added wireless and wired camera connectivity to iPad app

Capture One has added wireless and wired camera connectivity to the iPad app of the same name, bringing one of the most requested features to the mobile platform.

The Capture One app for the iPad launched in June and allowed RAW files to be converted on the fly, albeit with a few caveats. It lacked a complete set of editing tools and lacked the ability to transfer data over a network, one of the main reasons photographers use Capture One.

Today that has changed, with an update adding wired or wireless connectivity and allowing photographers to jump directly from the camera to enterprise software without the need for a PC or the need to deal with memory cards or adapters.

The iPad app is designed and developed to take full advantage of the iPad experience, including gestures and touch interaction. With this update, users can transfer RAW files directly to iPad, edit them in batches, apply styles and share their work with creative teams, clients online in real time, on the go.

The update adds the ability to connect the camera to the iPad app via USB cable or Wi-Fi. Additionally, users can remotely trigger an iPad capture using the app's shutter button.

Photographers can automatically apply presets to all linked photos, change Fujifilm Film Simulation to RAW files from these cameras, export originals and TIFF files, and use Auto Adjust to quickly edit images.

The update also includes the ability to change wheel slide directions and "Quick Edit" in the app's "Gestures and Shortcuts" section of the settings page, as well as fixing some bugs and making other unspecified improvements.

The update is available today and is free, but accessing the app requires a $4.99/month subscription separate from the Capture One Pro 22 license, which costs $299 for a perpetual license or a $20 subscription /month.

Let me also remind you that Australian company Blackmagic Design recently announced an update to their DaVinci Resolve 18.0.2 editing and color correction software. Improvements have been made to: uploading videos to YouTube, managing gallery files, as well as better rendering results and improved handling of track metadata. Additionally, the update improves clipping of H.264 and ARRI clips in media management and fixes an issue with gyro sensor-based stabilization (available with a firmware update for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras.
