SONOS
Sonos has officially introduced the Sub Mini subwoofer, which received an unexpectedly low price of $429 for a product in this class. The company has already started accepting pre-orders and deliveries will begin on October 6th. The subwoofer is available in matte black and white and is a low-cost alternative to the flagship Sub, which costs $749.
The Sonos Sub Mini is made in the form of a 30.5 cm tall cylinder with a base diameter of 23 cm and weighs 6.35 kg. The new subwoofer is designed to work in small to medium-sized rooms - in a home theater package it can work with either Beam or Ray soundbars, and music lovers will appreciate it with Sonos One speakers.
The Sub Mini is equipped with a pair of 6" woofers, with a cutout in the center for maximum airflow for quality bass output. Like the older model, the new subwoofer supports frequencies up to 25 Hz, but accordingly with The Verge, quoting Sonos product manager Scott Fink, the volume is 3-4 times smaller than the original Sub. Also, unlike the older model, there can't be more than one Sub Mini in a configuration. of home theater.
The subwoofer connects to the soundbar via a dedicated 5GHz radio channel and setup is done via the Sonos phone app, which can be connected simply by tapping the top of the unit.
