OPPO

Find X6 Pro will have a one-inch Sony IMX 989 sensor

A known digital bat-paper station revealed that the Oppo Find X6 series will have two versions: a standard version and a Pro version. The standard version of the Find X6 will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 single-chip system, while Find X6 Pro will receive a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

More importantly, the main camera of the Find X6 Pro will not be equipped with a Sony IMX766, but with a Sony IMX989 image sensor of a polegada. Oppo used the Sony IMX766 in our chef-cars from the Find X3 and Find X5 series. This sensor has an optical format of 1/1.56 inches. A move to an older image sensor from Find X6 means a much improved camera experience.

Compared to the iPhone 13 Pro Max sensor, the Sony IMX989 sensor has a 172% larger light-sensitive area and a 32.5% faster shutter speed. Also, the Oppo Find X6 series will also be equipped with the MariSilicon X da Mariana chip, which is a 6nm imaging NPU chip manufactured by TSMC.

Mariana MariSilicon X uses Oppo's advanced MariLumi imaging mechanism, which supports 20-bit and Ultra HDR images.

The Oppo Find X6 series will also use a 6.8-inch curved 2K+ fabric and will be announced in the first quarter of 2023.
