Huawei's online store at JD has confirmed that the top-of-the-line Huawei Mate 50 RS Porsche Design will go on sale next Wednesday, September 21 and will be offered for $1,860 for the 12GB and 512GB version. For comparison: the top version of the iPhone 14 Pro Max in China is estimated at nearly $2,000, but it sells with a markup of $300.
Huawei Mate 50 RS Porsche Design is based on Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC without 5G connectivity. The Mate 50 RS Porsche Design has the ability to use an NM memory card of up to 256GB. The Mate 50 RS Porsche Design has a 6.74-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color depth with a resolution of 1212 x 2616 pixels.
The Mate 50 RS Porsche Design features a 50-megapixel OIS main camera with a six-blade variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0. The ultra wide-angle camera received a resolution of 13 megapixels with an aperture of f/2.2. The Huawei 50 RS Porsche Design is powered by a 4,700mAh battery with 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. An advanced emergency battery saver mode will let you keep your phone in sleep mode for three hours if the battery is depleted by 1%.
Other features include a satellite connection based on the so-called Beidou Satellite Message 3 protocol. This essentially means that you can send a message and location even without cell coverage.
