Brand is already working on the development of a new flexible screen gadget

Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei has released a teaser announcing the preparation of a new smartphone with a flexible display - the P50 Pocket New gadget

It is worth remembering that the original P50 Pocket model (pictured above) debuted at the end of last year. The device is endowed with a flexible 6.9-inch screen with a resolution of 2790 × 1188 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. On the outside of the case is a 1-inch round auxiliary display (340 × 340 pixels). The equipment includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and 8/12 GB of RAM.

For some reason, the upcoming P50 Pocket New model doesn't have an external display. It is known that the smartphone will receive an enhanced camera system with XMAGE technologies, designed to improve image quality in various shooting conditions. The operating system is HarmonyOS 3.

According to rumors, the original version of the device will inherit the Snapdragon 888 chip without 5G support. The flexible display's refresh rate, as before, will be 120 Hz.

The P50 Pocket New smartphone is shown in the teaser in white and black color options. It is known that modifications with a flash drive with a capacity of 256 and 512 GB will be on sale. The first will cost approximately $720, the second about $1,000. Apparently these versions will differ in the amount of RAM.
