Epson announced the Expression Home XP-5200 All-in-One Printer (MFP) for home use. The novelty combines the features of a printer, scanner and copier with support for Wi-Fi wireless.
The MFP uses proprietary PrecisionCore technology. At the heart of this system is an innovative PrecisionCore Micro TFP printed chip developed by Epson engineers. It is a piezoelectric element with a thickness of no more than 1 mm, a system of chambers and channels through which the ink flows, as well as a printhead plate that pushes the ink drops onto the paper. The technology offers high speed and rich colors.
The Expression Home XP-5200 supports a maximum print resolution of 4800 × 1200 DPI (dots per inch). The speed reaches 14 pages per minute in monochrome and 7.5 pages per minute in color. Automatic two-sided printing and borderless photo printing are implemented.
The device is equipped with a 2.4-inch screen, Wi-Fi 4 802.11 b/g/n, USB port and 150-sheet paper tray. Voice control from a smartphone via Alexa, Siri or Google Assistant is possible.
Expression Home XP-5200 measures 375 x 503 x 187 mm in operating mode; weight is 5.4 kg. The acceptance of orders for the MFP has already started: the novelty costs about 130 US dollars.
