Asus has announced the imminent sale of its Zenbook 17 Fold OLED (UX9702) laptop with a 17.3-inch flexible OLED screen. The company also revealed its full specs.
For the first time, the novelty was shown at the CES 2022 fair in January, but now the release dates, price and other data have appeared. The laptop received a flexible display with a resolution of 2560 x 1920 pixels with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The aspect ratio is 4:3. It can be folded in half to provide two 1920 x 1280 pixel displays with a 3:2 aspect ratio. There is no frame between the screens.
The hinge provides an opening angle of up to 180 degrees, while its feature is 30 thousand cycles. This corresponds to 6 opening cycles per day for 9 years.
The display is Dolby Vision certified and reproduces 100% of the DCI-P3 range (PANTONE validated). Blue light protection (TÜV Rheinland certification).
The novelty is based on the 12th generation Intel Core i7-1250U processor with the Intel Iris Xe graphics core. There is 16GB of RAM and a 1TB PCIe SSD. Battery capacity is 75 Wh, USB-C Easy Charge technology is supported. This allows you to charge the novelty using a pad with USB-C interface and Power Delivery certification or a mobile battery. It comes with a 65W charger that supports fast charging.
Zenbook 17 Fold OLED is equipped with artificial intelligence systems that enhance the notebook experience. For example, there is a function to detect the user's presence using an IR sensor HD camera, a light sensor to adjust the screen brightness and color temperature. AI is also used in the webcam to improve image quality.
The laptop comes with a Bluetooth version of the ErgoSense keyboard with a built-in touchpad and the ability to connect two devices at the same time. The novelty will go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2022 at a price of US$ 3,499.
Previously, it was reported that the Asus ROG Phone 6D gaming smartphone based on the Dimensity 9000+ processor will be released on September 19.
