Um engenheiro entusiasmado criou um exoesqueleto para cobras para que elas possam andar com as próprias pernas.

Engineer creates exoskeleton for snake

When the snake is in the embryo state, the rudiments of the legs are formed for a short period, which then disappear. This is a rudimentary factor, a trait of evolutionary development, but an enthusiast named Allen Pan felt this was very offensive and unfair to snakes in the wild. Therefore, he undertook to correct this misunderstanding and made an exoskeleton with paws, which allows the snake to walk, not crawl.

The project, according to Peng himself, is as primitive as possible – it is a tube with two sets of manipulators and low-power electric motors to drive them. All parts are printed on a 3D printer, there are no sensors, the movement speed is extremely low. The word "exoskeleton" sounds a little loud, but this device really opens up a new way for snakes to move around.

The main disadvantage is that a reptile inside such an exoskeleton cannot control it, no device is provided for this. In essence, the snake is a passenger inside a strange machine that offers him no advantage. But Allen Pan is satisfied - according to him, he managed to restore justice and return lost limbs to snakes in ancient times.
