REDMI

Atualização do Redmi Note 9 Pro causa problemas aos utilizadores
Xiaomi's Note 9 Pro has a high rate of electromagnetic waves absorbed into the human body, says French agency

As part of its mission to monitor public exposure to electromagnetic waves, the National Frequency Agency (ANFR) carries out measurements on smartphones marketed in France. The SAR is thus controlled.

This specific absorption rate is expressed in Watts per kilogram (W/kg). It allows to quantify the part of the energy carried by electromagnetic waves that is absorbed by the human body.

SAR measurements refer to head SAR (phone against ear), torso SAR (in coat or purse pocket and headset use) and limb SAR (phone in hand, in trouser pocket, etc. .)

For Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro smartphones, ANFR has indicated that it has become aware of an update to make it compliant after exceeding the SAR member threshold value.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro has been verified with a value of 4.96 W/kg above the regulatory limit of 4 W/kg. It was reduced to 2.69 W/kg via a software update (MIUI 12.5.8.0; RJZEUXM). Trunk SAR should not exceed the regulatory threshold value of 2 W/kg (as for head SAR) and has been measured at 0.771 W/kg.

Specific measurements of the absorption rate from the National Frequency Agency are available in open data here (https://data.anfr.fr/)
