NOTHING

Nothing Phone (1) is the latest smartphone from Oneplus ec-CEO, which makes the particular design (built around the transparent back and the 900 LEDs of the Glyph interface) its main weapon, however users interested in buy it, they will not only admire its aesthetic charms, but they will also want to know how it behaves on a daily basis.
In the last few years a teardown of the Nothing Phone (1) has been revealed and given an unexciting repairability score. However, in a new resistance test made to the equipment, it is possible to recognize the Nothing Phone (1) has a very satisfactory resistance.
The endurance test by JerryRigEverything (aka Zack Nelson) is a great classic in this sector, a kind of rite of passage that marks the arrival of new smartphones on the market. Not even the Nothing Phone (1) escaped this tradition and for those who were already worried about the delicacy of such a design, I can already say that we have good news: the first Nothing smartphone is a tough nut to crack.
No surprise in the Mohs Scale resistance test, a criterion for evaluating the hardness of materials: the double-sided cover made of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 behaves exactly as expected; there is not even a protective film on the pre-applied plastic. The smartphone's side frame is made of aluminum (100% recycled), while the IP53 certification against water and dust is not an exciting result.
In the fire test, Nothing Phone (1) reacts from OLED: it turns white when exposed to flame and then almost completely recovers its normal operation. Speaking of what lurks under the screen, good Zack, with his fingertips visibly ruined by manual work, can't make the optical fingerprint reader stop working.
To finish the bending test: by pressing the side of the back cover, the smartphone does not break; doing the same on the side of the screen you notice a noticeable crease in correspondence with the antennas and you can hear some not very encouraging internal creaking which however does not translate into visible damage.
