NINTENDO

To mark the fifth anniversary of the Switch console, Nintendo announced the OLED Switch, themed in the style of the Splatoon game. However, many fans of the company did not expect this from her - they expected the Japanese manufacturer to present a completely new console. But that doesn't seem to be the case this fiscal year.
Until the end of the current fiscal year (ends March 31, 2023), the company does not plan to release a new console. Bloomberg reporter Takashi Mochizuki shared this information with reference to the Nikkei edition, which recently conducted an interview with Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa.
Given the age of the Switch, updating Nintendo's lineup of consoles would be helpful. However, given the Japanese manufacturer's recent unsatisfactory report, in which he points out problems with the supply of components for the production of the Switch, it is not surprising that the company is in no hurry to announce new consoles.
According to the Nintendo Life portal, despite rumors that Nintendo may increase the prices of current models of its Switch consoles, the company itself says that there are no such plans.
