Internet sources have published high-quality renderings of the Motorola Edge smartphone (2022), whose official presentation is scheduled for the current quarter. The novelty will be based on the MediaTek hardware platform.
We are talking about the presence of a 6.5-inch P-OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate. A 32-megapixel selfie camera will be located in a small hole in the center at the top of the screen.
The “heart” of the device will be the MediaTek MT6879 processor, which has not yet been officially presented. The product will combine eight compute cores - two Arm Cortex-A78 and six Arm Cortex A55. The chip will include the Mali-G79 graphics accelerator.
Modifications with 6 and 8 GB of RAM will be on sale. The capacity of the flash drive will be 128 and 256 GB. Power is supposedly provided by a 6000mAh battery.
On the back of the case you can see a triple camera. It will combine a 50-megapixel main unit with optical stabilization, a 13-megapixel module with wide-angle optics and a 2-megapixel sensor to collect information about the depth of the scene.
The dimensions of the smartphone are indicated - 160.8 × 74.2 × 8.2 mm. There's a USB Type-C port, while there's no 3.5mm headphone jack.
