Motorola has officially introduced the Edge smartphone (2022), the first device powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 1050 processor. The novelty operates under the Android 12 operating system.
The Dimensity 1050 chip contains two high-performance Arm Cortex-A78 cores at 2.5 GHz, six Arm Cortex-A55 cores at up to 2.0 GHz, an Arm Mali-610 graphics accelerator and a 5G modem. The amount of RAM is 8GB and the flash drive is designed to store 256GB of information.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.6-inch Full HD + OLED display with a resolution of 1080 × 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. We're talking about support for HDR10+ and 10-bit color representation. The panel occupies 88.1% of the case's front surface area.
On the front is a 32-megapixel selfie camera. The triple rear camera combines a 50-megapixel OIS main unit, a 13-megapixel wide-angle module and a 2-megapixel sensor to gather information about the depth of the scene.
The equipment includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac / 6e and Bluetooth 5.2 adapters, an NFC controller, stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a USB Type-C port. powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 30W TurboPower fast charging. The price is approximately $500.
