Rumores: Apple iPhone SE próxima geração terá o design do iPhone XR

Next iPhone SE may have the design of the iPhone XR

This year, Apple updated its most affordable smartphone, the iPhone SE, which retains the design of its predecessor based on the design of the iPhone 8, but it looks like its successor will be different. Well-known network insider Jon Prosser guarantees that the new version of the iPhone SE will be based on the iPhone XR model.

If that's true, Apple will ditch the iPhone 8's outdated form factor with wide bezels and a home button in favor of a more modern look with thin bezels, a notch display and Face ID sensor. The current iPhone SE 2022 has a 4.7-inch LCD screen, while the discontinued iPhone XR had a 6.1-inch display, and the model also offered a larger battery.

Further details about the upcoming iPhone budget have yet to be released. Apple usually puts the latest processors in models of this line: the iPhone SE 2022 received the same A15 Bionic chip as the iPhone 13. It is worth mentioning that in terms of cameras, the latest iPhone SE is very similar to the iPhone XR: both models boast a 12-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 7-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture. As a bonus, Apple could implement new software features on the budget iPhone, such as night mode.

However, the iPhone SE 2022 is showing rather low demand - the consumer may be less interested in a device with an outdated design, suggests 9to5mac.com. The fact is that with a small screen diagonal, a small capacity battery has been installed in the device, and the battery life is increasingly being the subject of complaints from iPhone SE owners. On the other hand, a larger screen can alienate the iPhone SE audience, which has traditionally been made up of those who prefer small devices - today the budget model is only inferior in size to the iPhone mini version.
