Apple will be the first on the market to use TSMC chips made using 3nm process technology. But initially they won't appear on the iPhone, while 3nm chips (TSMC) will appear on PC in late 2022.
The source says SoC M2 Pro for Mac computers will be the first to switch to the new process technology. And only next fall, the A17 Bionic platforms will be released in this technical process, and only the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will receive them, which corresponds to recent rumors.
As for the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, they will use the A16 Bionic SoC, which is manufactured using 4nm process technology at the premises of the same TSMC.
As for the M2 Pro, this SoC is initially expected in the new MacBook Pro, which should be released before the end of this year, but it is unlikely that the use of the new platform will be limited to this notebook only.
