Company will actively expand its own advertising business

Apple is actively expanding its own advertising business. Todd Teresi, Apple's vice president of advertising platforms, is aiming to increase annual revenue in this segment to "double digits", while that figure is now approximately $4 billion a year, according to the source. That is, a growth of at least 2.5 times is expected.

According to reports, Apple has already tested the ability to integrate advertising content into Maps search results, similar to the App Store's search ad program. Ads are also expected to appear in the Books and Podcasts apps in the future.

Apple's advertising business currently generates revenue from a variety of sources: App Store searches, ads in Apple News and Apple Stocks, and commercials during American League Baseball broadcasts. In addition to the ads that appear in other standard apps, Apple has already announced that users will see more ads in the App Store soon. New ad units in iOS 16 will allow these types of content to appear on the Today tab of the App Store, as well as at the bottom of pages for other apps.

As Apple's hardware sales growth has slowed over the past five years, the company continues to expand its revenue-generating opportunities from its services division. The company became interested in the advertising business under Steve Jobs (Steve Jobs), when in 2010 the announcement of the iAd service took place, with which developers could place Apple banners in their applications.
