Apple Watch will have new design and larger screen
Apple is preparing to launch a new high-end watch model that will have a larger screen and a completely new design, reports Bloomberg.
Apple increased the screen size of the Watch Series 7 last year. The smart watch received an edge-to-edge display with slim bezels just 1.7mm wide. The screen size of the larger Watch Series 7 has been increased from 1.78 inches to 1.9 inches. And now Apple intends to increase the screen of the new device even more - about 7% compared to its predecessors. According to Bloomberg, the new model will receive the first significant design change since 2018. The new model will also feature a durable design, longer battery life and an onboard body temperature sensor.
According to Bloomberg, the new Apple Watch model can compete with Garmin's Fenix 7 series smartwatches, which are equipped with large displays, durable housing and long-lasting battery support. These smartwatches are very popular with hikers and runners who need a longer battery life than the Apple Watch offers.
Apparently, with the launch of a new model, the Cupertino company intends to expand the audience of Apple Watch buyers. Bloomberg also reported on Apple's plans to introduce a new, more affordable version of its Apple Watch SE this year.
