In March, Valve released drivers to install Windows on the Steam Deck portable console, leaving only the sound uncovered: it didn't work through either the built-in speakers or the 3.5mm jack - you had to use peripherals or Bluetooth output via USB. C. Now the company has also published the device's audio drivers.

Before installing them, you need to update the processor driver.
The decision to install Windows on the Steam Deck is at the discretion of the console owners: there is an opinion that SteamOS based on Arch Linux “native” by it demonstrates greater performance, but in some cases the result can be exactly the opposite. Windows will definitely cater to those who need games that aren't in the Steam library, as well as those who prefer the Epic Game Store or have an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
It's also worth noting that dual booting SteamOS and Windows isn't implemented yet - as Valve stated, "the responsible SteamOS installer isn't ready yet", so we'll have to wait for the release of SteamOS 3. Windows 10 and 11 are supported, but you need a new one before installing the last one. SteamOS update to work with fTPM in BIOS - this module is listed in the platform system requirements.
