PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PS App and PS Remote Play Update Causes Users Annoyance

It looks like Sony Interactive Entertainment has had issues after releasing today's update on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PS App and PS Remote Play. Hundreds of users have reported that online games are not available, including Destiny 2, FIFA, The Elder Scrolls Online, Street Fighter V, and Grand Theft Auto Online.

On DownDetector, an online status tracking website, over 800 users have indicated that the PlayStation Network is down. Many people cannot play the games listed above. Overwatch, Call of Duty, Final Fantasy XIV, Battlefield and other network projects are also mentioned. Also, some players have noticed that their console does not recognize an active PlayStation Plus subscription.

Notably, on social media, gamers are reporting that they can still access the online menu of some games, such as FIFA 22. That is, the service is still working at this stage. However, users cannot play a match online, which requires a PlayStation Plus subscription.

At the time of writing, the PlayStation Support Twitter account has not commented on the PlayStation Network issue.
