Brand releases watchOS 8.5 software platform update

Last week, Apple released the watchOS 8.5 software platform update, which became available to users of compatible models of the company's smart watches. It has now become known that the update brings not only fixes and improvements, but also breaks the fast charging function on Apple Watch Series 7.

One of the features of the Apple Watch Series 7 smartwatch is support for fast charging, which allows you to recharge the battery from 0 to 80% in 45 minutes. Despite support for fast charging, the smartwatch does not come with a charger that can speed up the power reset process, and users have to buy it separately. Owners of these chargers have noticed that after a recent software update, the fast charging feature on the Apple Watch Series 7 has simply disappeared.

Apple smartwatch fast charging issues have been reported on the company's support forums, as well as on Reddit and other communities. Initially, the problem was thought to only affect users of Belkin Boost Charge Pro chargers, but later it turned out that lack of fast charging is observed after installing watchOS 8.5, regardless of the power adapter used.

At the moment, Apple has not confirmed the existence of the problem, but the number of user complaints continues to grow. The company's official representatives refrain from commenting on the matter.
