How to send a voice message to all smart devices in the house using Alexa and Google Home

Voice assistants are increasingly complete and include very useful functions for the home. One that may go unnoticed by many is the possibility of sending a voice message to all the smart devices in the house, something like a general announcement for the family.

The Google Home app allows us to carry out a good number of tasks with compatible devices. In this case, to send a message, just select the option 'send' from the main menu and tell the assistant the message that we want to send to the whole house.

This function allows you to send the message to all smart speakers as well as one in particular. In the latter case, we will have to specify in the message which speaker we want to send the audio note to.

In the Amazon ecosystem we also have the option to send a voice message to all Alexa-enabled devices. For this we will have to use the Alexa app and in the 'Communication' tab select the 'Announce' option.

Once here, we have several ways to get our message across. On the one hand, if we write it down, Alexa will interpret the message aloud to all smart devices. But even then, we can also use our own voice if we select the microphone icon and tell the assistant what we want to transmit.

These types of messages are often useful for quickly communicating something to the family, although they can also trigger jokes and funny moments. And it wouldn't be the first time someone at home had been scared off by this kind of message.
