Apple just released a new firmware version for the third generation AirPods

The AirPods firmware updates are very special. On the one hand, Apple doesn't tell you what's been improved or what's new in new versions, and on the other hand, it doesn't provide an easy way to update AirPods, so you have to resort to little tricks to update them.

If you don't have the 4C170 version on AirPods 3, it means they haven't been updated yet. The system that Apple designed was designed for AirPods to update automatically, however, there are a few tricks to force installation of a new firmware update on AirPods:

-Keep the AirPods inside the charging case.

-Connect the case to the charger using the Lightning cable or wireless charger.

-AirPods must be connected to your iPhone or iPad.

-Obviously, your iPhone or iPad must be connected to the internet.

-We don't know exactly when, but in a little while, AirPods will update to the latest version.

-If the devices have 100% battery, it's easier to update them.

AirPods firmware updates they usually focus on bug fixes and performance improvements, although it is true that from time to time they may contain important news.
