Android 2022 will have some very interesting functions

Google wants to improve and simplify connections and make our devices more integrated with each other. Its “Fast Pair”, which offers smoother Bluetooth connections, will soon be available for Chromebooks.

Headphones that support “Quick Pairing” must be able to connect to Chromebooks with a single click. The news will be released in “a few weeks”. Google writes that anyone who buys a new Chromebook this year will be able to install and configure it using an Android phone, in order to directly access, for example, Wi-Fi networks and a Google account.

At the same time, Android phones and Chromebooks will have tighter integration through further development of the “Phone Hub”, and it will be possible to share files with Windows computers via Nearby Share.

Google plans to simplify connections to smart home devices, as it will be possible to connect via “Fast Pair” to all devices that support

Care. Those who have a Wear OS watch will be able to use it as a key for Chromebooks and Android devices. As long as the watch is connected, devices are unlocked.

So if you are using headphones to watch a movie on your Android tablet and receive a call, the movie will be paused and the headphone audio will automatically switch to your Android phone and then go back to the movie when finished.

Also new is that devices automatically know which one we want to use – and when. As an example, Google mentions that if someone uses headphones to watch a movie on a tablet and the person receives a call, the headphones will automatically connect to the phone.

When the call is completed, the headphones go back to the tablet. The feature will be released in the coming months for compatible headphones.
