iQOO 9 will feature the latest 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor

Today, Chinese company Vivo shared new details about the upcoming iQOO 9 flagship smartphones on Weibo, which will be released on January 5th. According to new teasers, the iQOO 9 Pro will receive an advanced main camera and 120W fast charging support.

Vivo claims that the iQOO 9 series smartphones will be the first devices in the world to feature the next-generation 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor. Judging by the teasers, the sensor will be complemented with a 7P lens and gimbal stabilization. The iQOO 9 Pro also features a 150-degree ultra-wide-angle camera.

In a separate post, Vivo revealed that the iQOO 9 Pro will ship with an improved 120W GaN charger that will be noticeably more compact than the previous generation adapter. Its weight will be just 35 grams. Previously, Vivo reported that at least one of the smartphones in the iQOO 9 series will be equipped with a 4700 mAh battery, consisting of two cells.

According to previously released data, the iQOO 9 series smartphones will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, complemented by a powerful cooling system with a large vapor chamber. The devices will get the latest Samsung E5 AMOLED monitors with LTPO 2.0 technology, which provides dynamic refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz and support for 50W wireless charging. Vivo will likely publish more details about the iQOO 9 in the coming days to create a buzz around the new products.
