Vivaldi has new feature to display two lines of guides while browsing

Vivaldi tries to help those users who always keep a lot of pages open by providing a convenient way to manage them directly on the screen.

Google's preferred solution for managing open tabs in the Chrome browser is to simply display their number on a button to the right of the address bar, so users know exactly how many pages they've opened in the browser. Then switch to the desired tab elegantly by first visiting a separate list where the open tabs are intuitively represented using a system of cards that reproduce the content of the web page.

The problem is that this approach is not as fast as, for example, clicking directly on another selection from a displayed tab list. Furthermore, those with minimal smartphone skills can easily be confused by the presence of a “hidden” list of tabs, which they simply ignore, opening another tab whenever they want to return to the previously visited webpage.

Although less efficient in using available screen space on mobile phones, displaying one or even two lists of tabs can solve many problems for those users who cannot cope otherwise. Trying to please as many users as possible As far as Android is concerned, Vivaldi 5.0 adds this feature in the form of an optional “New Tab Stack” setting, which is shown when you press and hold the New Tab button. Therefore, the temporarily displayed row of tabs allows you to switch between a larger number of sites, eventually disappearing when you close the last tab in that group.

Vivaldi 5.0 is also a big step forward for tablet users, with the new version getting several optimizations for large-screen display. In addition to a new interface design, Vivaldi also offers a side panel that helps tablet users optimize their screen space more efficiently.
