Tutorial teaches you how to block Internet access on iPhone

Sometimes, for whatever reason, we need to keep an application disconnected from the Internet for a while without uninstalling it. On many occasions, we can't put our iPhone or iPad into airplane mode, which is why Today we bring you a little tutorial so you can learn how to block Internet access from specific apps on your iPhone or iPad.

The steps are quite simple to follow, and the best part is that you won't need to download anything else on your phone for it to work. Also, we leave an article on how to know if someone has secret access to your iPhone and iPad, since we are talking about privacy and security. Just read on to find out how to block a specific app's Internet access on your iPhone or iPad.

The good thing is that Apple gives us the tools to control certain aspects of our iPhone's security, such as the ability to encrypt and protect your backup copies on iPhone, iPad and Mac. This time the cases are even simpler, so read on below for how to do it.

-Enter the Context app.

-Go to Cell Data section.

-Scroll down and you will see a list of apps.

-In said list, disable apps you want to block from your cellular data network.

At this point, your app should be disconnected from your cell phone data. Keep in mind that you can still use the Wi-Fi connection, but if you turn off this last function on your iPhone, the selected app will be completely disconnected from the Internet until you re-enable the option or until you enable WiFi again.

On the other hand, there is a second alternative for this. For some reason, Apple allows us to disable mobile data from apps in two different ways. Just follow these instructions to do it:

-Log in to the Context app.

-Here scroll down until you see the list of apps installed on your iPhone or iPad.

-Enter the one you want to disconnect Mobile Data from.

-Once inside you will see the app's particular setting menu, disable ‘Mobile data‘.

And ready. Once you turn it off, the app will not be able to use your mobile data until you turn it on again. Some apps They will also give you the possibility to avoid connecting with other devices with a similar option called ‘Local Area Network’. If you disable this last option, the app will not be able to scan nearby compatible devices. This is useful if you have a smart speaker or Chromecast and don't want the app to connect to them automatically.
