Star Trek: Resurgence new game coming soon

A group of former Telltale Games employees formed Dramatic Labs and unveiled their first project, Star Trek: Resurgence, at The Game Awards 2021.

Star Trek: Resurgence is a third-person decision-making adventure similar to the Telltale Games games. The project takes place right after the events of Star Trek: The Next Generation. In the story, Officer Jara Rydek and Engineering Team Brigadier Carter Diaz will reveal "a sinister secret involving two alien civilizations on the brink of war." The game will be released for PC (Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S in spring 2022.

Dramatic Labs was founded by Telltale Games co-founder and CEO Kevin Bruner. The studio has been around in one form or another since January 2020, but has been working in secret so far.

Many experienced developers joined Bruner, including 20 former Telltale Games employees. These include writer and creative director Andrew Grant, lead writer Dan Martin, opening and creative director Kent Mudle, and executive producer and creative director Brett Tosti).
