“Feature Drop” from the Pixel series

The latest collection of features is now on its way for Pixel 3a and later models in the series.

A niche new for Snapchat users is the ability to launch Snapchat directly from the lock screen by double-tapping the back cover. The function is released for Pixel 4a and later.

Pixels 6 and 6 Pro can now take advantage of ultra-wideband (UWB). Google writes that UWB will improve Nearby Share. As mentioned earlier, the Pixel 6 duo can also be used as digital keys for selected BMW cars from 2020–2022.

The integrated Sound Amplifier app has been given a conversational mode that makes speech clearer in noisy environments. Google uses machine learning to improve your voice. Users select which voice to clarify by pointing the phone at the person. The feature is primarily for users with hearing loss.

Pixel phones can automatically identify the music played in the environment. This is done locally, without an internet connection. A novelty is that the user can choose to do a manual search, as well as identified favorite songs so that they are easier to find.

The latest addition is a collection of new wallpapers in the Wallpaper app.
