LOUIS VUITTON
Luxury brand to launch a new smartwatch
Information appeared on the web about the preparation of another smart watch by the French brand Louis Vuitton. Louis Vuitton has announced the upcoming release of the Tambour Horizon Light Up smartwatch, according to Gadgets and Wearables.
According to the published photo, the novelty has a round screen, like its predecessor, but with the addition of a set of 24 LED elements around the always-on display. The screen itself is covered with curved sapphire glass. The new model will be available in polished steel and matte brown or matte black options. Louis Vuitton says the Matte Brown version "reflects one of the brand's iconic historical codes."
In terms of functionality, the Tambour Horizon Light Up has features such as tracking physical activity, sleep quality and heart rate. This data can be accessed by swiping to the right on the screen that opens the My day tab. Swiping down on the watch face gives access to smartphone notifications. Frequent travelers will be able to store their travel plans and boarding passes in the “My Trip” section. It can be accessed by swiping left on the screen. Details about the software are very vague. The new smartwatch is running a proprietary operating system that was “made for the iPhone” but is also compatible with Android and HarmonyOS.
The user can choose between eight different dials. You can also customize the look of the watch face by adding your initials, choosing a color and a font. It is also reported that the smartwatch is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100 processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of flash memory.
Louis Vuitton and its parent LVMH confirmed the watch's existence but did not provide further details.
