LENOVO
Brand is already developing a new gaming smartphone that will have a fan cooling system for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip
Lenovo's next gaming smartphone was unveiled today by the company's product manager Lin Lin. He wrote on Weibo that the processor temperature of the next device, which will be called the Legion Y90, does not exceed 38.9 degrees, even after 20 minutes of gameplay at more than 120 frames per second.
Temperatures of 38.9 degrees are pretty low when it comes to heating up a gaming device's chipset. Most flagship smartphones get much hotter in games in less time, to the point where they have to lower frequencies and lower the screen brightness to avoid overheating. Most likely, the Y90 Legion is not in danger.
The Y90 will have a built-in fan that will help cool the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset that will power the smartphone. Game developers seem to be well aware of the smartphone's ability to dissipate heat. As a result, Honor of Kings, which has a global version called Arena of Valor, will run on the device at 120 frames per second.
The Lenovo Legion Y90 will be featured with the Y700 Gaming Tablet and Y9000P laptop. These devices are expected to be featured as part of the company's virtual events at CES 2022, the company having refused to personally participate in the exhibit due to the coronavirus threat.
